  • Centre for Applied Archaeology

    The Centre for Applied Archaeology at Salford University is the only university-based archaeology organisation to be located within a School of the Built Environment with unrivalled access to a wide range of skills from planning and surveying, to conservation and 3D visualisation. Their activities have an emphasis on industrial archaeology. The Centre also hosts the Greater Manchester Archaeological Advisory Service.

  • Council for British Archaeology (CBA) North west

    CBA North West covers the counties of Cheshire and Lancashire, together with Greater Manchester and Merseyside.

  • Glossopdale & Longdendale Archaeological Society

    GLAS is an independent voluntary association whose aim is to involve local residents of Glossop and Longdendale in the exploration, sharing and dissemination of knowledge of the archaeology and history of Glossop, Derbyshire and the surrounding district.

  • Greater Manchester Archaeological Advisory Service

    The Centre hosts the Greater Manchester Archaeological Advisory Service, which acts as the archaeological curator for the ten Districts of Greater Manchester.

  • Greater Manchester Archaeological Federation

    A forum for local archaeological societies within Greater Manchester.

    An independent charity with the overall aim to open up the UK’s rich heritage for all and safeguard it for future generations.
